NRCS Conservation Planning Resources

MACD is pleased to share NRCS conservation planning outreach resources designed to help conservation districts connect local producers with conservation planning assistance.

Summer is one of the best times for farmers, ranchers, and foresters to begin or update a conservation plan. Early planning allows NRCS conservationists to conduct site visits and resource assessments while field conditions are favorable and helps producers prepare for future conservation opportunities.

To support district outreach efforts, NRCS has developed a communications toolkit that includes:

  • Newsletter article
  • Flyer
  • Fact sheets
  • Social media content and graphics
  • Photos and other outreach resources

Districts are encouraged to utilize these materials in newsletters, social media, websites, board communications, and community events to help raise awareness of conservation planning opportunities available through NRCS.
