This year, we’re looking forward to hosting the 2026 Northern Plains Region Summer Meeting, which will be held the same week as MACD’s annual Spring Board meeting. All Northern Plains members are welcome to stay for the MACD presentations.
The meeting is open to conservation districts and partners to attend in-person or virtually. Please find further information below regarding the agenda and event details.

Friday, June 19th – Sunday, June 21st
Old Salt Festival
- Partner event: A Montana gathering where community meets land. Conversation, music, food & wild landscapes on the Mannix Ranch in Helmsville, Montana.
- MACD will be attending and we welcome Northern Plains members to join! Registration and cost is separate from the Northern Plains Summer Meeting. Click here to visit the Old Salt Festival website for more information and pricing.
Monday, June 22nd
Half day (begins at 1 p.m.) – Northern Plains
- Afternooon: Northern Plains welcome and presentations
- Evening: Dinner on your own or as a group
Tuesday, June 23rd
Full day- Northern Plains/MACD
- Morning: Northern Plains presentations and business meeting
- Afternoon: MACD Spring Board welcome and presentations (relevant to both groups)
- Evening: Annual MACD Social at Ten Mile Creek Brewery
Wednesday, June 24th
Full day- Northern Plains/MACD
- Morning: Presentations (relevant to both groups)
- Afternoon: MACD Strategic Planning, possible field trip or breakout session for Northern Plains members
- Evening: Dinner on your own or as a group
Thursday, June 25th
Half day (concludes after lunch)- MACD
- Morning: MACD Board Meeting
