NRCS Montana Conservation Field Day
August 6, 2024
07:00am-02:00pm
Northern Cheyenne Buffalo Pasture
Crazy Head Spring
Lame Deer, MT 59043
Join us as we visit sustainable ranchers who are leading conservation agriculture in their own operations, in their communities and in the industry. During the farmer-led field day experience, you’ll hear from ranchers who share their challenges and successes in implementing conservation practices on-the-ground and receive education around regenerative grazing, water management, composting, range management, biodiversity and biochar.
Hosted by Conservation Steward Brandon Small
Brandon Small is a member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe in Lame Deer MT and is the director of the Northern Cheyenne Tribes buffalo ranch. He manages the day to day operations and implements all stewardship practices within the 15,000-acre buffalo range.
