Things to bring:
• Water bottle
• Sunscreen
• Hat
• Magnifying lens or loupe if you have one (I’ll have some available but not enough
for the whole group)
• Field clothes – There is a field portion of this workshop so it is expected
participants will get wet and dirty. It is advisable to wear clothing suitable for field
work. It is encouraged to bring waders if you have them so you can get in the
water to sample, but at a minimum rubber boots. You are welcome to wet wade
as well.
• Excitement to learn about sampling for AIS!
Sampling gear will be provided for the class so no need to bring any nets or plant rakes.
