DESCRIPTION:Billings Bear Awareness Presentation at Bass Prop Shops\nAugust 19  \n06:00PM-08:00PM  \n4550 King Avenue East \nBillings\, MT 59101  \nPrompted by the recent black bear sightings in Billings\, Montana Fish\, Wildlife & Parks staff will host a bear awareness presentation at Bass Pro Shops\, formerly Cabela’s\, in Billings (4550 King Avenue East) on Tuesday\, Aug. 19\, from 6 to 8 p.m. The meeting is free to attend and no pre-registration is required. \nFWP wildlife staff will give a presentation on bear safety\, conflict prevention and management in the Billings area. Attendees will learn about possible bear attractants\, how to store them properly to reduce the chances of negative bear encounters and how to keep themselves safe in bear country. Both wildlife and enforcement staff will be at the meeting to answer questions from the public. There will also be an opportunity for attendees to practice using inert bear spray. \nBears are active across the region. DESCRIPTION:DNRC Conservation and Resource Development Grants Administrative Rules Stakeholder Group Meeting\nAugust 15  \nDNRC Conservation District and Development Division is looking for input from stakeholders for a comprehensive revision of the Administrative Rules of Montana (ARM) for the Renewable Resource Grant and Loan Program (RRGL)\, Reclamation Development Grants Program (RDG)\, and Conservation District Bureau Grants (CDB). \nThe primary goals of this effort are to provide consistency\, clarity\, and accessibility; update rules to reflect changes from House Bill 6\, including additional project match requirements; clarify DNRC’s compliance\, monitoring\, and oversight of grant funds for improved accountability; and repeal unnecessary or outdated rules.
