SUMMARY:Project Level Fuels Management Using QWRA Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Project Level Fuels Management Planning Using Quantitative Wildfire Risk Assessment in IFTDSS\nMarch 26  \n11:00AM-12:30PM  \nConducting a Quantitative Wildfire Risk Assessment (QWRA) can make land management decisions more effective by characterizing the predicted benefits and threats from fire on several\, often overlapping\, values across your landscape. This information can be used to plan fuel treatments\, pre-plan suppression response\, design fire effects monitoring programs\, and other related management activities on a landscape while accounting for the predicted benefits and threats from fire and the relative importance of different landscape values. A QWRA combines the likelihood of fire occurring\, the intensity when fire occurs\, and the effects of fire on the things we care about.  LANDFIRE data is integral to characterizing fuels and vegetation to model the likelihood and intensity of predicted fire within a QWRA. IFTDSS includes a workflow to make the QWRA process manageable and time efficient. \nClick here to register. \n  \n  \n
